More than Conquerors

Hello to all our cherished friends and partners,

Cristie and I have returned home to Australia after an inspiring three months of ministry in Europe. As we settle back into our life and ministry here, we are filled with gratitude for all that God has accomplished in the churches we visited in Austria and Germany. We believe that the Lord is preparing for a mighty move of His Spirit across Europe.

Romans 8:37

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

This is a time more than ever to not just know that there is a God that can do miracles, but that He is your God and He loves you. I can ask, “ Can God heal?”, in any church in the world and people will say a resounding yes. The problem comes when I ask if they think God will heal them. We forget that all of our blessings are not based on our works and goodness but because Jesus defeated death and the grave and now we are in Christ! If you are in Christ by confessing Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, believing that God raised Him from the dead, then you are in Christ and need to boldly proclaim that because of Jesus, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

I often pondered the meaning of this scripture. Surely, it doesn’t imply that we are greater than Jesus, who conquered sin, death, and the grave. Instead, the Lord opened my eyes to its true meaning through the lens of boxing. I can already hear some of you thinking, “What a barbaric sport!” But I admire the skill and dedication of great fighters.

In May 2024, we witnessed an incredible heavyweight title fight that marked the first time in 24 years an undisputed world heavyweight champion would emerge. It was a true David versus Goliath matchup: Oleksandr Usyk facing Tyson Fury, who had a height advantage of 6 inches, a longer reach, more experience, and weighed 25 kg more. Despite the odds, Usyk, the smaller fighter, triumphed and became the undisputed heavyweight champion, earning tens of millions of dollars (over $100 million in his rematch).

Now, here’s something else about Oleksandr Usyk – he’s married! Now I don’t care if you are the heavy champion of the world and the mighty conqueror….if you come home with a cheque for $100 million dollars, his wife will say, “Congratulations, you are the champion and conqueror! Now, I will take that cheque thank you very much” (Men all over the world are now nodding their head in agreement with me). Now, he is the conqueror, but she is the more than conqueror! He won the battle and she gets share the spoils because she is his bride.

In the same way, Jesus fought our battle against sin, sickness, poverty, and all forms of oppression. As the bride of Christ, we share in the spoils of that victory. I’m sure Mrs. Usyk wasn’t losing sleep over how to defeat Tyson Fury – that was her husband’s responsibility. Today, rejoice in knowing that your enemy is defeated! Because you are in Christ, you partake in the victory He secured for you over sickness, addiction, poverty, and brokenness, giving you health, freedom, prosperity, and wholeness. Hallelujah! Praise God that the battle is not yours but the Lord’s (2 Chronicles 20:15).

Cristie and I want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supports our ministry and prays for us. Your prayers and support make our work effective. We have an exciting lineup of local ministry opportunities and more international engagements in the coming months, including preparing for another youth camp in October.

If the Apostle Paul asked for prayer, we humbly do the same. Please keep us in your prayers as we fulfill the calling the Lord has placed on our lives. If you feel led to support this ministry financially, please click the link below. Additionally, feel free to share our newsletters!

We are thrilled to announce the release of our new single, “Amazing,” now available on all streaming platforms. I believe it contains some of the most impactful lyrics I have ever written. Please check it out.

We pray for you, speak God’s word over you, and believe for His best in your life.

With love and blessings,

Peter & Cristie
