Abiding Under the Shadow of the Almighty

Hello friends and partners,

Cristie and myself are entering our third month of ministry here in Europe and spring is starting to sprout. We went for a big walk last week through the gardens of Schönbrunn Palace and it was wonderful to see the trees, that had no visible life on them 8 weeks ago, were starting to sprout fresh green shoots and the bare ground that was now awash with wildflowers. This made me thank God that no matter how hard the season of life may be, new life is coming.

This has been a hard month for many as we have seen 2 ministers promoted to heaven, one given only days to live and two dear minister friends bury their beloved son. I read this morning that here in Europe we are advised to stockpile at least 72 hours worth of food as a full European war could break out at any moment. I believe that it is in these hard seasons that we should focus on the goodness, love and faithfulness of our God more than ever.

Psalms 91:1-2

He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High

Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress;

My God, in Him I will trust.”

This is a time more than ever to not just know that there is a God that can do miracles, but that He is your God and He loves you. I can ask, “Can God heal?”, in any church in the world and people will say a resounding yes. The problem comes when I ask if they think God will heal them. We forget that all of our blessings are not based on our works and goodness but because Jesus defeated death and the grave and now we are in Christ! If you are in Christ by confessing Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, believing that God raised Him from the dead, then you are in Christ and need to boldly proclaim that because of Jesus, “He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in Him I will trust.”

Psalms 91:7

A thousand may fall at your side,

And ten thousand at your right hand;

But it shall not come near you.

We live in a broken world and the devil is desperately trying to destroy the church and us who are made in Gods own image. We may never know on earth why bad things happen and we must never judge the people that they have happened to because we are not in their shoes. But we must be of the attitude that even if the word of God doesn’t seem to be working in anyone else’s life, it will work in mine. That is faith!

I was so touched to hear Bill Johnson say when his wife died, that he would not let his experience change his belief. This is an attitude of faith that I believe that we all must have in this season and I believe that we are about to see the rise of the glorious church. I can hear the cloud of witnesses, our loved ones who have fought the fight and gone on before us, cheering us on that winter is ending and new life is here.

Cristie and myself are busy ministering to churches, teams, leaders as well as spending one on one time with many ministers. I am the minister that I am today because other ministers took their valuable time to spend with me and share their experiences and encourage me over coffee or a meal. Sometimes this was worth more than 100 sermons, so thank you to everyone who has sowed into us to help make this possible. Please continue to pray for us as we have many meetings in the next few weeks.

If you feel that the Lord is calling you to partner with us in taking the Gospel to the nations then please click on the link below. We releasing the next single off of our new worship album in a couple of weeks so please watch out for that.

We pray for you, speak Gods word over you and believe that the best is yet to come.

Much love and blessings,
Peter & Cristie
