The Gospel

Hello to all of our friends and partners,

We hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas and are expectant for a great new year. As I write this, we are being driven to the airport to fly to Europe for 3 months of ministry mainly in Austria and German speaking Europe. I want to thank you all for praying for us and for supporting us so that we can fulfill this important call. As we have prepared for this trip, it got me thinking as to why the Lord would have two people with no Austrian or German heritage to go to the opposite side of the world to minister each year for 3 months and it came down to one thing… the gospel must be preached.

Romans 1:16-1For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”

It saddens me that a lot of Christian teaching today is leaning more towards “pop psychology” and becoming a sin management program instead of focusing on the power of the gospel. One of the devils biggest tactics is to scare ministers off of preaching the purity of the Gospel, that we are saved purely by our faith in Jesus and not by our works and that Jesus paid the full penalty of our sin so that we would be new creations in Christ (1 Cor 5:17). Jesus took our sin upon Himself and gave us His own righteousness as a gift ( 2 Cor 5:21) and that by this abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness, we can reign in life (Rom 5:17). Some people think that by preaching this, that people will live a life of sin but the truth is, if the gospel is preached in power and truth, people will not want to sin because the gospel breaks the power of sin.

Romans 6-14  For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace.

Any preaching that says that sin doesn’t matter isn’t the gospel but to access the power of the gospel and see sins power destroyed, we must accept that we are righteous purely by the blood of Jesus and not our own works. Today as you spend time with the Lord, spend time thanking him that because of Jesus we are now in Christ, delivered from the power of darkness, dead to sin and alive to Christ. Raise your hands and worship the Lord that you are now the righteousness of God in Christ and can come boldly to the Throne room of grace to receive mercy and find grace in your time of need (Heb 4:16). Speak to those areas of weakness and sin that you have struggled with and proclaim boldly that the same Glory that rose Jesus from the dead gives life to your natural body and mind (Rom 6:4 & Rom 8:11). Begin to praise the Lord that you are a beloved child of God (Eph 1:6).

We are so excited to be partnering with some great churches in Austria and Germany that are committed to seeing the gospel preached, churches planted and the Glory of God cover their nations. We are also excited to be releasing our new worship album, ”Generations Arising” which you can order here on our website. We look forward to worshipping with these new songs that the Lord has given us and seeing many of you as we travel to your churches. Our itinerary is on our website so if we are in your area then we’d love to see you. If anyone would like to become a partner in this ministry and be a part of seeing lives saved and transformed all over the world then please click the link below. Cristie and I love you, are praying for you all and believing that this will be a year of abundant grace and breakthrough.

Much love and blessings,
Peter & Cristie
